2008

Since 2008, Ota Nozomi began her career in the entertainment industry as a regular model for the popular magazine, popteen.

2009

Nozomi began her blog in 2009, often posting about fashion, make-up and her daily life, including any magazine shoots she was participating in.

​

2012

Sometime in 2012, Nozomi became a regular cast member of the show Game☆Maniax. This would be her first regular programme.

​

Nozomi was a part of the event, SHIBUYA 109 Festival in May 2012, most likely participating as a model.

​

In Novemeber 2012, Nozomi made her debut with the magazine, KATY. She was on the cover of the November / December issue, and became one of their regular models.

​

From September 12th until the 16th, Ota Nozomi performed in the stage play, Onna, hito yu. Kusumi Koharu and Ogawa Makoto, former members of Morning Musume, also starred in the play.

​

2013

In April of 2013, Nozomi joined the cast of Last Cinderella, playing Takehara Midori, a stylist's assistant, in the TV mini-series. Nozomi also starred in a CM for the company SEIYU, sometimes in 2013, and also appeared in a commercial for Universal Studios Japan, promoting a summer campaign.

In September, Nozomi took part in the KANSAI COLLECTION event. She also took part in the GIRL'S BLOGGER STYLE event in October.

​

On October 13th, 2013, Nozomi appeared in an episode of Zyden Sentai Kyoryuger.

​

In December 2013, Nozomi became a part of the 10th generation for the promotional unit, BERRY GIRL'S. The unit would promote the brand that is Tackle Berry for one year, and end all activities in December 2014.

2014

From January 2014, Nozomi began working as a branch reporter for TBS programmer, Oosama Branch.

​

In September, from the 10th until the 23rd, Nozomi was a part of the main cast for the stage play Kekkon no hensa chi 2 DEAD OR ALIVE, as Shuen.

​

In December, Nozomi finished her time as a branch reporter for Oosama Branch, after one year, as well as her activities with BERRY GIRL'S.

​

2015

In April 2015, Nozomi was a part of the cast for the stage play Flying Pirates ~Neverland Hyoryuki~ as Tinkerbell. The play ran from April 29th, until May 4th. Former Houkago Princess member, Hayamizu Rin, was also a part of the cast.

​

In June 2015, Nozomi announced her graduation from the programme Game☆Maniax, of which she had been a part of for three years. She noted that there was no negative reason for leaving, but that she wanted to move on towards bigger goals.

​

From July 8th until Jul 12th, Nozomi was a cast member of the musical production Dream Rescue ~iu koto Nurse!~, where she played Baku Momoko.

​

In the Summer of 2015, Nozomi joined the unit Heart x Strings, making her Idol debut.

​

From August 26th until August 30th, Nozomi starred as Jill in the stage play, Butterflies Are Free, as a part of the B cast.

​

From October 1st until October 12th, Nozomi appeared in the AirStudio production, GO, JET! GO! GO! Vol. 8 as Saki. In November, she returned to the production for GO, JET! GO! GO! Vol. 1 as the character Miyuki, with the performance running from November 27th until December 2nd. She reprised her role of Saki for the production of GO, JET! GO! GO! Vol. 6 in December, from the 12th until the 23rd.

In November 2015, Nozomi was chosen to host a special programme dedicated to STAR WARS, in celebration of the release of The Force Awakens. The programme gives information on the series to the viewers. The programme was title Minna de tanoshimu STAR WARS.

​

From November, Nozomi became a regular reporter for JSPORTS programme, BOOMER.

 

2016

In January 2016, it was revealed that Nozomi would return as a cast member of the production Dream Rescue ~iu koto Nurse!~ Replay, this time taking on the role of Nagai Reiji.

 

On December 27th, it was revealed that she would become a member of Houkago Princess as a Candidate, alongside Tanaka Asami. Both would leave Heart x Strings, which would go on an indefinite hiatus from December 31st, 2016.

2017

On January 1st 2017, Ota Nozomi and Tanaka Asami officially became a part of Houkago Princess as Candidate members. Their first performance took place on January 4th, where they were officially revealed.
