2014

In May of 2014, Marina temporarily halted her activities within Houkago Princess due to illness. Two months after temporarily leaving Houkago Princess, it was revealed that despite getting better, Marina had neglected her duties as a member of the group and made no attempts to come back to activities.

On August 28th, Marina was dismissed from the group for breaking her contract and neglecting to inform the staff that she was well and ready to return to activities. Despite her dismissal, however, Marina stated in a blog post that she hoped to return to Houkago Princess and start with a clean slate when she re-auditioned.

In October, Marina revealed that she had begun working at COCONUTS LOUNGE TOKYO as a waitress and gravure Idol.

2015

On February 18th 2015, Marina made her return to Houkago Princess as a Candidate member, as well as the first member of Houkago Princesses new little sister unit, Houpriyusu (Houpri Youth).

Around June / July, Marina revealed that she would be releasing her second gravure DVD, titled PureSmile.

In October 2015, Marina, along with Kamiya Airi, Sekine Sasara and Kojima Mayumi, became a member of the third volume lineup for the fashion line collaboration brand DORICHIM. This new lineup was also known as DORICHIMCOCONUTS for its new collaboration with COCONUTS STAGE and DORICHIM.

On November 6th, it was revealed that Marina had won the Cheerz and Kodansha based contest, Miss iD 2016. Through public vote, she gained the number 1 spot above 111 other contests.

2016

On January 9th, Nagasawa Marina, along with Kojima Mayumi and Kamiya Airi, held her coming of age ceremony.

On January 17th, it was revealed that Nagasawa Marina had not won first place in the Miss iD 2016 Grand Prix Finals, though she did place third overall. On January 27th, Marina announced the release of her 3rd Gravure DVD, titled Marichu Biyori. The release date was set for February 19th, 2016.

On February 7th 2016, it was announced that Nagasawa Marina, Sekine Sasara and Kamiya Airi would all graduate from HouPriyusu, with the intention to create a trio together and pursue activities as a new unit. The girls would end their activities within HouPriyusu on March 20th.

However, on March 19th, it was revealed that Marina, Sasara and Airi had since formerly declined creating the new unit. After much thought and discussion, Kamiya Airi chose instead to graduate and instead leave the industry altogether. Because of this, both Marina and Sasara thought more about their futures, and decided instead to stay as members of HouPriyusu.

On April 3rd, Marina and Sasara were both promoted to Apprentice status, and were able to participate in the groups single, Seishun Mermaid as background dancers for release events and performances. Marina, Sasara and Mayumi were also featured on a Limited Cadet version cover for the release.

On April 14th, Marina opened up a Croudfund for a potential 5th solo DVD, of which she hoped to self-produce. On April 23rd 2016, Marina held her very first bus tour. Activities included a barbeque and a small photo session with the fans. On April 24th, Marina's 4th Gravure DVD was announced, titled Marichu ni Muchu, and would be released on May 20th. The DVD was shot in Thailand.

On August 7th 2016, it was announced during Houkago Princesses final performance Tokyo Idol Festival that Nagasawa Marina, Sekine Sasara and Nagasawa Marina had all been promoted to the Regular Lineup, and would hold their coronation on September 22nd, 2016 during the groups one-man live at Zepp Tokyo.

In late August-early September, Nagasawa Marina announced the release of her first photobook, titled Hatachi no Yakusoku, with a release date for September 25th. Furthermore, Marina would also release her first solo-calendar from October 15th.

On September 22nd, Nagasawa Marina debuted with Houkago Princess as a Regular member. It was also announced that she would become a part of the sub-unit, Team Miracle, alongside Sirosaki Himari, Michishige Saho, Kojima Mayumi and Horii Nina.

On October 1st, Marina had been cast as a regular commentator for the variety based online show, AbemaTV. Later, on October 27th, it was announced that Marina had been cast in the live-action project, Saki. She would play the character Senoo Kaori, a shy, ditzy and easily nervous girl, who had great beginners luck and good perception in the game of mahjong. The series would contain 4 drama episodes, released in December, as well as a film release in 2017. This would be her first drama and movie appearance.

In November, Marina travelled to Thailand alongside Sasara and Horii Nina, for gravure purposes. On November 5th, Marina's fifth Gravure DVD, Marinazu Densetsu, was released. This DVD would be the first that Marina had self-produced.

On December 14th, Marina made the sudden and unprecedented announcement that she would be leaving Houkago Princess and Cute Black on December 31st. Her reasons for this sudden decision were because, after joining the group as a Regular member, she realised that the Houkago Princess she had originally joined was no longer as easy as it was three and a half years ago. She struggled in lives, and could not match up to the pace and energy of the other members, and found that instead of enjoying the performances, she was nervous and lacking, and so came to the decision that she would leave Houkago Princess, even if it was selfish and sudden. Despite the fact she had enjoyed all her solo activities and being a part of Houpri Youth, and that she loved all of the members dearly, she felt it best she withdrew from the group. Her contract had also ended, and she had not renewed it.

On December 27th, Marina performed for the first and last time with Team Miracle. On December 29th, she held her final performance with Houkago Princess, and withdrew from the group on December 31st completely.

2017
