2005
In 2005, Maika debuted under Stardust Promotion as an original member of the group Power Age. Maika was a part of the group until its disbandment, and participated in mostly live activities with the group. The group managed to release only one single, which had been a collaboration.
2009
In 2009, Power Age was dissolved by Stardust Promotions, and held their final live sometime that year. Maika stayed with Stardust Promotions however, and pursued a solo career.
2011
Maika released her first and only solo single under Stardust Promotions on January 3rd, Kizuna / Brightest Star / Graffiti.
Later on in November of the same year, Maika cancelled her contract and any planned events with Stardust Promotions in order to pursue a normal life.
2014
On May 14th 2014, Maika made her re-appearance to the entertainment world as a 6th generation Candidate within Houkago Princess. She opened up an official twitter account and confirmed that she would indeed continue her activities as a member of Houkago Princess. Within a week of joining Houkago Princess, Maika had been promoted from a Candidate to an Apprentice.
On July 13th, Maika had been promoted to the Regular lineup, quickly becoming a front member of the group as well.
During the months of August and July, Maika participated in the FujiTV Idol Karaoke contest, in which she represented Houkago Princess and competed against other Idols and groups. Through Fan Vote, Maika made it to the final round of the competition.
On September 3rd, FujiTV broadcasted the Finals of the Idol Karaoke Contest. Maika placed 3rd from the judges votes.
On December 28th, Maika attended the SOLOxSOLOxSOLO event at Shibuya Glad, and has since been participating in solo lives there with a variety of other Idol groups and its members.
2015
On February 13th 2015, it was revealed that both Yamaguchi Miran and Maika would participate in the group DORICHIM, a group created to promote fashion brands such as DOWBL. Made up of six members, two from three different groups, DORICHIM would promote fashion brands and attend events.
On February 18th 2015, it was announced that Maika would become the Vice-President (sub-leader) of Houkago Princess.
