Houkago Princess LOVE

Manatsu no Yoru no Yume is the seventh indies single release from Houkago Princess, as well as their final indies single. It was released on September 23rd, 2014, and came in eight different editions. Originally, the single was set to be released in August 2013, however due to production issues, the release date was postponed.

 

The single features six new and / or unreleased tracks, as well as three re-recorded tracks that had previously been limited to venues only.

 

The title song, Manatsu no Yoru no Yume, translates to 'A Midsummer Nights Dream', possibly inspired by Shakespeare's famous play. The song is about a girls unrequited love, and how the object of her affection only sees her as a child.

 

The costumes used for the 4th generation song, Itoshikute BALLOON, have been reused for Manatsu no Yoru no Yume.

 

Types E, G, F and H all contain the same songs as Types A, B, C or D, and only have different covers.

 

The track 2.5 Jigen no Genjitsu is the second solo song from Miyashita Mayuka.

 

This is the first single to feature 6th generation member Maika, and 6th generation cadets Michishige Saho and Sirosaki Himari.

 

This is the last single to feature Sakuragi Nene. Also, due to halting her activities in order to attend University, Sakuragi Nene is only ever present in the Music Video for Smilex3 ~Egao Zutto Saitamamade~, and not Manatsu no Yoru no Yume. She is also only present on two of the single covers, Types A and E.
