Houkago Princess LOVE

2012

In June 02 2012, Sakuragi Nene and six other girls joined Houkago Princess as 3rd generation Candidates.

 

In July, Nene was the first of the 3rd generation members to be promoted to the Regular lineup. She was also a heavily featured member during the promotion of Kojiki Shika!.

 

2013

On July 28th 2013, Nene announced through her blog that she would be taking a break from Idol activities in order to focus on her University studies, though her return time was undecided. Her final performance with the group for 2013 was during Tokyo Idol Festival.

 

2014

Early on in 2014, Nene made a slow return to activities within Houkago Princess, though her appearances were limited and rather sporadic. From September, her activities became a lot more frequent, she re-opened her twitter account and even wrote more on her blog.

 

2015

On February 1st 2015, the announcement was made that Sakuragi Nene would officially withdraw from Houkago Princess on the 11th of that month. The decision came through disagreement between both Nene and the staff, who felt her lack of commitment to the group andlimited activity for over a year was unprofessional, though Nene herself felt otherwise. Though it had originally been planned to demote her to Cadet status, Nene refused the offer, leaving only a withdrawal as the final option. Her final performance was held on February 11th, and she ceased all activities within the entertainment industry.
